Spring Time has arrived!!

Spring is in full swing now... I can tell because Troy's and my allergies are going bananas!!! The pollen around here is just crazy. There is yellow on everything and there is even a yellow hue in the sky. But its nice to have the warmer temps, thats for sure. :)

Easter weekend was great! It was also the start of Em's spring break. She was suppose to go down to her dad's but those plans got canceled so she got to spend it w/ us. :)

We headed to PA for the weekend to spend Easter w/ Chad's side of the family! It was great! We went to an easter egg hunt that Saturday at the fire company. Then on Sunday was the 5th annual Easter egg hunt at Bev's house. The kids love it! She said she hid close to 500 eggs in the field next to her house and in her back yard. The weather was perfect, nice and warm! Then after the hunt we headed over to my SIL's house where her husband Danny cooked which he always does a fabulous job! He is a volunteer firefighter so he definately has some skills, plus it doesn't hurt that he worked at a restaurant growing up. Our lunch consisted of ham, pork tenderloin and prime rib, veggies, swt potatoes, and several desserts! Not to mention tons of CANDY!!

We headed home on Monday just in time for Emily's 13th birthday the next day. I can not believe that I can now say that I am a mom to a teenager! Its NUTS!! Time goes by so fast! We celebrated w/ a cookie cake and a day of shopping at the mall. We surprised her w/ getting the cartilidge part of her ear pierced and Band Hero for the Wii (which we are going to have to take back because its not cooperating w/ the Wii). She received numerous cards and gifts from family and has enough money to go on a wild spending spree at the mall or target! Her spring break was pretty quite this year I will say. Usually I have stuff planned for each day but w/ us traveling on Monday, her birthday on Tuesday and Doc appts on Wednesday the only day we got to do anything fun was on Thursday when we headed to the beach. The temps were great but the water temp was not so great! FREEZING!!! Still to early to be getting in the water. We had fun playing in the sand though.

We ended the week by stopping at the Farmer's Market and taking a walk down the boardwalk at Virginia Beach.
